Queen of the Air, Amelia Earhart was the first woman to make a non-stop transatlantic flight (1932), first transoceanic flight from Honolulu to Oakland, California (1935), disappeared in the Electra while flying over the Pacific Ocean in a record attempt to fly around the world at the equator. In her last transmission Earhart broadcast: 'We are on the line 157 337. We will repeat this message. Wait.' Crashed. Missing July 2, 1937, declared legally dead January 5, 1939. Location unknown.
